I cried when the kids moved from the pack-n-play in our room to the crib in their room.
I cried when we lowered the crib.
I cried when we converted the crib into a toddler bed.
So, as you can probably guess, on Sunday night I cried because Dylan and Caitlin spent their last official night in their toddler beds.
On Monday the beds the kids got for their birthday and Christmas arrived. They are so nice! I am amazed at how big they are. For some reason they did not seem that big in the store! (Of course, the little rooms in this house make the beds seem even bigger.) Both Dylan and Caitlin have the same bed, but in different colors. This summer we hope to add a chest of drawers as well as a few more decorations to the rooms.
Here are a few pics. (I added the last two pictures so you can see how high they are!)
The kids are excited! After getting used to the big bed, Caitlin is now sleeping in it full time. Dylan still goes back and forth between his toddler bed and big bed. Probably because he cannot suck on the fitted sheet in his new bed. (He does that in his toddler bed.) We will probably take down the toddler beds in a week or two.
At this very moment the kids are playing "sleepover" in Dylan's bed. LOL! Apparently there is a shadow monster trying to get Caity. Dylan is protecting her and chasing it away. xoxo! Caity says she will read Dylan a book to thank him.
Here are some pics of them getting ready for bed the first night.

I swear those are the cutest kids ever!! If it weren't for the Lindsays and Britneys of Hollywood, I'd tell you to get them an agent! lol
BTW, here's a cyber kleenex and hug, Cath! ((HUG))~~
